Why do I need consulting services when I already have a waste hauler?
Your waste hauler provides hauling services for waste and, sometimes, recycling materials. The hauler does not look at the total system and process of handling waste and recycling efficiencies. As consultants, we look at all aspects of the waste removal and diversion/recycling opportunities within your facility. Our objective is to minimize cost and maximize diversion of materials, thus reducing your overall costs.
Will there be a conflict with my current hauler?
No, because we will work with the current hauler to improve efficiencies and make the process more cost effective. We do, however, look at the current hauling pricing and will negotiate for more competitive pricing, which may include other service providers.
How much out-of-pocket money is involved?
Our objective is cost reduction, and our services are provided at “vendor risk.” Our fee is based on the net savings to our client. If we are not able to save you significant money after all related costs are covered, then we do not get paid!
Why has my service provider not talked about this service?
The waste hauler is a trucking company charged with hauling materials. Therefore, what the hauler will usually offer is somewhat limited. Most waste haulers do offer recycling services, for example. Their services are usually limited to providing and servicing recycling bins and trash bins. Our consulting service is extensive, including trash bin audits as well as designing and implementing recycling programs to making sure hazardous materials are handled properly and in compliance with regulations. In addition, we offer many other services that will provide help in environmental sustainability.
Will I be required to purchase new equipment to take advantage of the consulting services?
There is no requirement to place equipment at your location(s). If the implementation of equipment reduces costs, then it may be recommended. The cost of equipment – rented, purchased or lease-purchased – is included in the calculation of NET cost savings to the operations. Therefore, it’s a win-win situation!
How do I pay for your service and still save money? Also, what will my bottom-line savings be?
There will be no payment to MCWC unless there is substantial cost savings to you! We evaluate your current systems and procedures, then we compare the current costs to what the costs will be after our recommendations are implemented. The cost savings is the basis on which we are paid. Our experience is that the bottom-line cost savings range from 22% to as much as 50%!
Will my energy cost increase if we implement your consulting recommendations?
There may be some slight increase in energy cost, but it will be offset by the savings realized by implementing the program(s) recommended.
If I am unhappy with the service how do I cancel the agreement?
Our objective is to work in partnership with our clients and certainly to have good working relationships. In any contractual agreement, there would be cancellation clauses that would be agreed upon.
Will you provide references for your services?
Yes, they are available by contacting our main office at 562-630-7956. You may also refer to our testimonial page here.
How often and when is the consultant on site?
Our agreements usually are for a two-year period. During that time, we will be in contact each month as we audit and review service provider invoices. We also are available for onsite visits to supervise bin audits, or for any waste and/or diversion issues that may arise.
Is the consultant always available to help make decisions?
Yes, once our recommendations are agreed upon and implemented, we will be your waste and recycling adviser and will always be available to your designated staff.
Who is responsible for negotiating with the hauler?
A very essential part of our service is to work with the current hauler to negotiate better pricing. Also, where appropriate, we will work with other hauling companies to obtain the best possible pricing at the highest operational standards. We also will determine if our clients are getting the best possible value for recycling materials. For that reason, we often work with recycling companies as well as the haulers.
